Privacy Policy

Updated 7 September 2026

This policy explains how Finx Academy uses information to deliver its finance courses, exercises and account services, and how to make a privacy request.

Information used to run your account

Finx Academy stores your name, email address, sign-in details and session information. If you sign in through Google, Google provides the profile information used for your account. Passwords for email accounts are stored as hashes.

Learning and public records

We store exercise attempts, workbook contents, grades, hints, timed-test results and course progress to provide the learning service. A browser identifier lets a visitor save free-exercise progress before registration. When you sign in, the app can associate that progress with your account. Certificate verification pages show the certificate holder’s name, course and issue details. Shared test-result links show the result without your email address or the answer key. Share these links only when you want others to see the record.

Purchases and referrals

Paddle handles checkout and payment details. Finx stores order references, purchase status and access entitlements. Referral information is used to attribute eligible purchases and calculate affiliate commissions. Finx does not receive or store your complete payment-card details.

Optional AI help

Written hints and automated grading work without sending every exercise to an AI model. When you request model-based help, relevant exercise instructions and a limited part of your saved workbook may be sent through OpenRouter to the configured model provider. The public course assistant uses catalogue information and your question. Avoid including confidential or personal information in questions or workbook cells. You can use the courses, grading and written hints without requesting model-based help. The app does not currently offer AI-personalized learning paths.

Analytics and browser storage

Essential browser storage supports sessions, anonymous progress, referral attribution and recovery of unsaved exercise or test drafts. Optional analytics is controlled by the analytics setting on the Cookie Policy page. See that page for the current storage and consent details.

Emails and support

Account verification, password recovery and purchase messages support the service. Course-update requests and optional learning tips or offers follow the preferences supplied when you join the list. You can cancel these requests through david@finxacademy.org. Contacting support provides the information you choose to include in your request.

Service providers and retention

Hosting, email, payment and AI providers process information needed to provide their respective services. Account and learning records are retained to support your access and progress; order records may also be retained for accounting, dispute handling and legal obligations. We do not offer a self-service account deletion or data export control at present. Contact support to request access, correction, a portable copy or deletion of your information.

Your requests

You may contact david@finxacademy.org about access to your information, corrections, deletion, portability or privacy concerns. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Rights and exceptions depend on applicable law. Optional analytics can be turned off from the Cookie Policy page. Contact support to change course-update or marketing preferences.

Children and institutional use

Finx is a professional skills learning platform. The current product does not provide school administration, parental-consent collection or age-verification controls. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact support so the record can be reviewed.
